2018 Red Ribbon Week October 22 - 26

Red Ribbon Week is next week, Oct. 22 - 26. This annual event is a drug abuse awareness program in honor of fallen US Drug Enforcement Agent Enrique "KiKi" Camarena, who was killed for his work against illegal drugs. Dress-up themes are celebrated to encourage students to say no to the use of illegal drugs throughout their lives. All COCISD campuses will participate in the following theme days::

10/18/18 - Changes to today's football games

Because of the poor field conditions at Trojan Stadium due to the rain, all football games today will be played at Crockett, which has a turf field. The 7th grade game has been moved up to 4 p.m., 8th grade will play at 5:15 p.m., and JV will play at 6:30 p.m.

Concerning water levels and possible flooding due to Dam release

There will be no early dismissal today, Oct. 16th, and all after school activities are going on as usual. We are continuing to monitor the Dam output, which is currently at 80,300 CFS. At this time only one bus route may possibly be affected, the one that goes to the river bottoms area of our district. We will notify you of any changes as soon as they become available.

3rd Annual Golden Trojans Reception & Fall Sports Preview

The 3rd Annual Golden Trojans Reception and Fall Sports Preview was held at the Jones Educational Complex on Friday, September 7. The COCISD community's seniors were welcomed with performances by the Trojan Regiment Band, cheerleaders, and the Trojanettes drill team. The AFJROTC Color Guard presented the Colors for the pledges, and the National Anthem was played by the Trojan Regiment Band. Athletic Director & Head Football Coach Jim Bird introduced Head Volleyball Coach Stacie Stewart, and discussed his background, coaching philosophy, and the upcoming 2018 sports season before fielding questions from the audience.
